PRAGOALARM/PRAGOSEC 2009 - look back23.11.2009

The 17th international trade fair of security equipment, systems and   services, fire protection and safety equipment, PRAGOALARM/PRAGOSEC 2009, is over. The answers to the questions contained in the exhibitor questionnaire have shown that this specialized exhibition is important and beneficial to the participating exhibitors. More than 80 percent of the respondents plan to take part in 2011. We are very pleased about this result, which is a motivation for us to ensure high-quality services and facilities and an even higher number of exhibitors and visitors in two years' time.

Despite the pitfalls that arose during the preparations (the tragic fire of the Left Wing of the Industrial Palace, economic crisis), the event has confirmed its stable position in the exhibition market. Selected indicators: A total of 76 exhibitors showcased their products within an area of 1,626 sq.m, there were 169 companies represented from 22 countries of the world. The foreign exhibitors came from the following countries: Croatia, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and the UK.Similarly to 2007, the exhibition received great interest from industry professionals - a total of 5,793 of them visited the event during the three days of its duration.

The exhibition took place in cooperation with the following organizations: Association of Technical Security Services Grémium Alarm (AGA), AMBO Association, Czech Club of Security Services (ČKBS), Czech Association of Security Managers (ČABM) and the Chamber of Commercial Security Companies (KPKB ČR). It was held under the auspices of the Czech Minister of the Interior Ivan Langer, the National Security Authority and the Police Headquarters of the Czech Republic.

Competition results - GRAND PRIX, TOP EXPO25.2.2009

On 24 February, during the gala night on the occasion of the official opening of the exhibition, winners of the GRAND PRIX, a prestigious competition for the best exhibit, were presented with their awards.

An expert jury, chaired by PhDr. Michael NEUWIRTH, awarded the GRAND PRIX to TRADE FIDES, a. s. (24LK) for the exhibit AMBER (wireless monitoring and security system).

In addition, the jury awarded two CERTIFICATES OF MERIT.

A certificate of merit was awarded to ATIS GROUP s.r.o. (80LK) for the exhibit RSC (Remote Security Control technology manufactured by Tecnoalarm SRL, Italy).

SIEMENS s.r.o. (30LK) was also awarded a certificate of merit, namely for the Siemens interoperability set (integrated access control and CCTV set).

The TOP EXPO award for the best stand was granted to SIEMENS s.r.o. (30LK)

We would like to inform you that at this year’s international trade fair of security equipment, systems and services, fire protection and rescue equipment PRAGOALARM/PRAGOSEC 2009, which will take place from 24 February to 16 February 2009 on the Exhibition Grounds in Prague – Holešovice, visitors will again be distributed a practical “News Guide”.

This handy guide will help visitors quickly find the information, products and services of greatest interest to them. The approximately 16-page, full-colour publication will provide a clear overview and brief descriptions of product innovations (new products selected by the companies will be illustrated with a picture accompanied with a brief description and marketing information – certificates, awards, etc.) as well as other information.
